A blizzard calls

I’m writing this late on Thursday night, while we still have power. At this moment, the weather forecast calls for an overnight blizzard with up to 45 cm of snow and wind gusts over 100 kph. If this forecast is accurate, we will no doubt be snowed in all Friday, and perhaps even all weekend, which is kind of exciting. We’ve seen weather like this several times before so we know what to expect: blackouts, whiteouts, and snowdrifts big enough to block our front door. Thankfully, we have exits on three sides of our house, so we should be able to get outside just fine if we wanted to.
